This release is a revamp for the PHP Compatibility Checker Plugin.
In this release the plugin will no longer run tests on your server and instead utilize the Tide endpoints thanks to the amazing contributors of Tide in WordPress that advance the adoption of newer faster and more secure versions of PHP.
Notable changes in this release:
- Support for testing PHP 8 Compatibility
- Only plugins and themes in the WordPress.org repository are able to be scanned. Custom plugins will need some investigation in a future release where will will find the best way to support custom and premium plugins.
- You will need to remain on the page for a scan to receive the results. Scans complete much faster than the previous versions so wait times should be minimal.
