Welcome to WWC PDX's ⚑ Open Source Study Nights

We meet monthly every third Thursday in downtown Portland. Come program with us on open source projects!

What will you do?:

πŸ“† How do I join your next event?

Check out our latest meetup RSVP information here: https://www.meetup.com/Women-Who-Code-Portland

πŸ’» How do I get started?

  1. Code editor: Install a code editor. If you don't have one already, we recommend: VS Code.
  2. GitHub: Make a GitHub account and install git.
  3. RSVP & Logistics: RSVP on Meetup.com to get the latest updates on the meetup location (parking, Metro access) and all those logistical details.
  4. Code of Conduct: Read our Code of Conduct.

πŸŒ† How do I get to the meetup?

  • Address: Mozilla: 1120 NW Couch St #320, Portland, OR 97209
  • Take the elevator to the 3rd floor
  • Nearest MAX station: Red or Blue Line - Pioneer Square Station
  • Parking: Parking is a challenge in downtown. We recommend the MAX, streetcar, carpool and voracious free parking-spot hunting.
  • Thank you to our location sponsor, Mozilla!!

πŸ™Œ Help!

  1. When you are stuck on code: Make an issue on what youβ€˜re stuck on here - https://github.com/wwcodeportland/open-source-study-nights/issues
  2. When you are lost, on your way and stuck in traffic and need to let someone know about something, left something at the venue, confused about parking, leave a comment on the https://www.meetup.com/Women-Who-Code-Portland event invite for that night or message Keeley on Twitter for an immediate response @keeleyhammmond.
  3. When you have questions/concerns about code of conduct or other topics, talk to Keeley or Michelle by messaging us on Meetup.com.

πŸ™ Thanks

Many thanks to Machiko Yasuda and FullStack LA for providing this as a template for our open source study nights!
