Individual/group updates

LANL/External CS

GS:

• Having first interview for new postdoc who might get involved in Parthenon infrastructure development

LANL physics

JM:

• New PR for allow mutable variables in Params
• New PR for more generalized reductions
• Have project on AGN disks that may require additional physics (non-relativistic ray transport). Will setup separate meeting when this becomes more relevant.

AthenaPK physics

PG:

• reviewed several PRs
• confirmed that Parthenon/AthenaPK runs on AMD GPUs
• working on getting scaling numbers for papers

JS:

• Expect to move in production mode with rad-hydro GRMHD early next year

FG:

• Worked on downstream development

Paper

• JS will write Mesh refinement subsection
• FG will write testing subsection
• PG will write performance updates and will go over all sections (incl. Intro and Conclusions) by end of the year
• Won't go into more detail wrt IO scaling, mention basic results from INCITE proposal

Sparse PR

• JD will not make a major update but issue an incremental update later
• PG will make final updates following previous comments and then merge
• Sparse should also be in the paper as it's a unique feature

• PG will ping BR on https://github.com/lanl/parthenon/pull/619
• PG: Will update https://github.com/lanl/parthenon/pull/613/ to use templated approach
