Individual/group updates

JM

• mostly downstream dev
• reporting for LR:
  • working on refactoring sparse machinery
  • mostly focusing be fully sparse
  • also per variable, per buffer approach to be replaced in favor of a buffer pool
  • will talk to LR to potentially combine comm of multiple vars in one MPI call. This is also what JS uses in AthenaK (with separate communicators)
  • revisit https://github.com/lanl/parthenon/issues/449
• we need to double check if we properly incr. physical id for MPI tags
• got Parthenon running on Chicoma

BR

• working on comments on three open PRs
• already has a Phoebus integration branch
• Phoebus is open source in a public repo now!

GS/DH/JS

• downstream code dev/over proj.

PG

• Catch2 update done (PR needs review)
• Issues with MPI on Spock (with HIP)
• Applied for Texascale time

Parthenon user/dev meeting/workshop

• Overall agreement that this is a good idea
• Potentially hosting in Santa Fe supported by org from LANL
• GS will point JM/JD to right contacts
• Tentatively scope, 50/50 Parthenon/downstream
