Call 1

  • MERGED #1201 common.xml:GPS_GLOBAL_ORIGIN clarify when emitted - All agree to merge. Action HamishW.
  • MERGED #1205 Allow IMU's to convey their temperature - Agreed good to provide temp, and IMU should be able to indicate not supported. Standard way to indicate not supported is use max value. This is a known risk for systems that have not updated. We think OK, but if not, propose new message (silly to jump through hoops on extensions). Action HamishW to update issue with this info.
  • #1212 Proposal for AIS message - Good idea. Update poster with "Create a PR for evaluation" and provide links.
  • Common Flight modes:
    • JamesP
      • Perception in ArduPilot community that
        • PX4 flight modes and PX4 flight mode architecture being pushed as standard into interface. These are not best ways for mavlink interfaces.
        • This is not as discussed previously: a small set of truly common modes like takeoff, land, position that are set/got though simple high level mode call along with simple mechanism for specifying autopilot specific modes.
        • Pushing this into standard will not be implemented by ArduPilot. Might Fork.
    • HamishW - Lorenz needs to discuss his intention in person because this is likely miscommunication.
  • #1182 Clarify use of multiple batteries - See two comments here: https://github.com/mavlink/mavlink/pull/1182#issuecomment-523746942
  • JulianOes did not discuss "MAVLink connection semantics
  • JamesP to continue to push PeterB on reviewing the MAVLink bugs 339
