Notes

  • AO JamesP: Common.xml: AIRSPEED_RAW message #1602 - anything else to add (two new fields)

    • sideslip/angleattack are computed/not from raw sensor. So if they are added to the message a new name must be proposed - it can't be AIRSPEED_RAW.
    • There is potential value in a message for these computed values.
    • James to propose possible alternative message including computed values.

  • Doc outdated: Camera Protocol #298 - Lorenz says bring Daniele in to discuss technical aspects.

    • AO - hamish will add a note.

  • Component Information and Events Service

    • There are no blockers on these proceeding. Please make it so. - Lorenz and James
    • Beat would appreciate feedback.
    • COMPONENT_INFORMATION extension and rework #1610 makes some modifications.
      • We discussed possible alternatives to the two URLS in message.
    • Component info should provide fallback location for data. Beat to consider.

  • Resolution of GPS / position values #1608 - Progress?

    • No perceived benefit for current use cases.
    • Close with reasons (obviously if a use case exists that needs this we can revisit).

  • Add MAVLINK_INCOMPAT_FLAGS to minimal.xml #1593 or protocol.xml. Ie generally does it make sense to have protocol stuff in the XML?

    • Reasonable concept but fair bit of work. Needs implementation for at least the main languages - C, Java, Python.
    • If someone wants to do the work then sounds reasonable, but we're not able to resource.
    • DONE - AO Hamish to ask OllieW if he wants to do the work (or close)

  • Reduced Bandwidth, Telemetry Optimized Messages #1605 - are we interested in a project to update messages?

    • No. Compatibility cost for little gain on something that works for very broad majority
    • DONE AO: Hamish to make note.

  • common.xml: added WiFi network info message #1601 - any questions? (Kirill Shilov)

    • Makes sense, but we need James to comment (not here).
    • AO for Hamish to get James to comment.

  • Added mission checksum message #1172

    • AO hamish to move this to development.xml to ease migration.
    • DONE

  • Start cleanup of common.xml (the easy ones?)

    • See above. We'll start with getting develpoment.xml infrastructure in place.
