DONE #1264 More support for ICE monitoring
- JamesP provided links to info about messages and work done in ArduPilot on this topic.
- AI HamishW to post into issue.
#1228 common.xml: add AIS message
- James reviewed and approved. This is waiting on a PR to support cdeg/s field type used by AIS.
#929 No way to transmit airspeed reference
- James P thinks that the specific message is useful. But only low rate one.
- AI HamishW to propose PR to un-stall this one. Following up with DanielA.
DONE #1234 Add messages for power regulation and temperature status reporting
- AI JamesP to review and comment. Ie get this moving again.
Microservices proposal.
- Big discussion on whether this is too heavyweight. JamesP "why is this better than properly versioning mavlink - e.g. just publishing a git hash vs changed functionality.
- Hamish because that lets you integrate with known systems but not unknown ones. James - should you really do that from a safety perspective. Hamish - Yes.
- Julian - we have a number of cases where this makes lots of sense from management perspective.
- James: Concerns about costs of tooling changes. HamishW Only tooling change is to add support in XSD to allow the XML to appear. Rest of stuff doesn't get built into library. This is all metadata.
- JamesP; ArduPilot lives with this all the time. There are other solutions.
- HamishW: Late AI to add compare and contrast to doc.
